samples

I put these here as reference for literary agents and publishers who may be interested in publishing or representing my work: "The Woodcutter and The Most Beautiful Tree."
.
These are pictures taken with my digital SLR.  They get the basic point across, but the colors are a bit off.  PDFs of high-resolution scans are available on request (beware, they're huge files).
.
The original works are on Bienfang 11" x 15" 140 lbs. cold-pressed watercolor stock.
.
There are 19 two-page spreads and the last page stands alone for a total length of 39 pages.

Thanks for looking!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I made copies of these and distributed them to my house mates this past week.  One of my house chores is to ensure that the good vibes keep flowing.

More sketches

Well, this week has been "productive."  I sent queries, manuscripts, dummies, and art samples to several agents and publishers.  I don't expect to hear back from any of them for 4 weeks at the earliest.  I also opened a shop on ETSY (http://www.etsy.com/shop/nataniela) but have yet to put anything up.  I'll go to a local printer today and get an idea of how much it will cost to get some stuff printed on good, heavy stock.

A couple

Done side-by-side and separated.  I like how the jellyfish turned-out in the first one...the water could still use some improvement, though.  The colors are less vibrant in the pics and you'll notice the second picture has a hair on it. :-P

A short series

This is a series I made for Elin.  The paintings were done side-by-side on a single sheet of paper and then separated.  They are each about the size of a playing card and were made to fit a small picture frame Elin keeps at her desk in the lab.  I think the boat is my favorite.
