Welp.

Submitted a picture book pitch last week Thursday...got rejeeeected on Friday.  Which is ok.  The pitch was, as far as I could tell, solid; this particular agent just wasn't really looking for what I had to offer.  Marching on!

Sketches

Pencil sketches on large sheets of low-quality paper. Please excuse the chopsticks...they were necessary to get the sheets to lay flat during photographing.

Watercolor deer(s)

The bottom two paintings were Christmas gifts to a family member. The basic forms of the deer were taken from a Google image.

Nothing "new". Or "fancy". But at least I'm updating this thing. 2010 Resolution: be better about that.

I got my first rejection letter on Monday!!! Thanks to Kathy of Peachtree Publishers for being so supportive and offering some constructive crititicism. Tomorrow I'll be submitting a 100-word pitch for "Woodcutter" to an agent in an online "pitch-drive" kinda thing .
